ART@SUDA
Art@Suda is an innovative and
ambitious plan to bring what is happening in the Thai art scene to the heart of
London 's vibrant West End
offering a unique blend of Thai culture in one destination.
The display comprises of work by three
leading artists from the Bangkok
art scene: Maitree Siriboon, Tatiya Udomsawat and Peerawayt Krasaesom.
Maitree Siriboon has gained
international recognition through his staged photography. His work has featured
in a Christie’s Auction and has been shown in major exhibitions from New York to Paris to China . Tatiya
Udomsawat combines photography and graphic design to create his imaginary
worlds. His work has been showcased widely in Thailand
and Japan .
Peerawayt Krasaesom is an artist and an illustrator for numerous major
publications. He has been exhibited predominantly in Thailand .
Their works are a reflection of
globalisation on the Thai way of life. The simplicity of traditional lifestyles
and childhood memories, combined and refined by international influences, has
become a source of inspiration. As in life, their artwork reflects this
integration forming works of art that reflect artistic creativity and
individuality.
Suda’s space has proved ideal for
these works as it is another sign of multiculturalism. Like Thai food, Thai art
has now crossed national borders and gained international recognition.
